The Law Offices of Katherine Cohan, APLC (sometimes operating in conjunction with The Harouni Law Group; collectively, “the Firm,” “we,” or “us”) may send SMS/text messages to individuals who have provided their mobile phone number to the Firm and expressly consented to receive text messages from us.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How You Consent: By submitting our website contact form with the SMS-consent checkbox enabled, or by verbally providing your phone number to our 24/7 intake line at 424-857-9256 along with consent to be contacted by SMS, you authorize the Firm to send you text messages at the number you provided, including through automated dialing systems where applicable.
What We Send: Messages relate solely to your existing or prospective legal matter with the Firm and may include intake follow-ups, document and signature requests, case-status updates, and reminders for appointments, hearings, mediations, or deadlines. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your mobile phone number or text-message content to third parties for marketing purposes. Your consent to SMS is not a condition of any purchase or of our representation.
Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your matter and may range from occasional to several messages per week.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by your mobile carrier and are your responsibility. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to Stop: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. After replying STOP, you will receive one final confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not send you further SMS messages unless you opt in again.

Sender Numbers: Outbound SMS messages may originate from (818) 351-1145 or (424) 857-9256. Inbound replies should be sent to the same number that sent you the most recent message.
Data Security: Text-message content is stored in our secure case management system and treated under the same confidentiality standards as our other client communications. However, SMS is not end-to-end encrypted at the carrier level. Please do not transmit sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers or financial account numbers) by text message. Instead, email such information directly to kcohanesq@gmail.com or sh@90212law.com.
